The Wild Fires of Summer '16

You were just two and a half years old, that summer of 2016. And it was a hot one. Averaging at around 90 some degrees every day, you spent your weekdays at daycare and your weekends at home. We had a inflatable shark pool that you loved, and we'd turn on the sprinklers too. You love running through the sprinklers.

One weekend when the carnival set up all their rides and booths in the park at the foot of our street, there was a huge fire just over the hills in Santa Clarita. We could see it from our front door and our side yard.
